Ten years ago, Change Health launched the Change Adventure Camp — a summer program designed to teach Edmonton kids how to cook, stay active, and connect with nature through fun, hands-on adventures.
In the first year, Chef Gail helped teach the children at the camp.
“Once children make the connection between what they eat and how they feel — the connection is very strong.”
— Gail Hall (1948 – 2016)
Unfortunately, Chef Gail passed away later that year. In the decade since, hundreds of Edmonton-area children have learned to cook at the camp she helped create. To mark 10 years, we would like to build Gail’s Kitchen — a permanent teaching kitchen in Edmonton for children, families and the community.
