Ten years ago, Chef Gail Hall sat down with Dr. Doug Klein to talk about a brand-new kind of summer program — one that would teach Edmonton kids how food connects to how they feel, how they grow, and how they live.
In the first year, Chef Gail helped teach the children at the Change Adventure Camp.
“Once children make the connection between what they eat and how they feel — the connection is very strong.”
— Chef Gail Hall (1948 – 2016)
Unfortunately, Gail passed away later that same year. In the decade since, hundreds of Edmonton-area children have learned to cook at the camp she help create. To mark 10 years, we would like to build Gail’s Kitchen — a permanent teaching kitchen for the next generation.
