Summer Camps

Summer Day Camps

CHANGE Adventure Camp is a week-long day camp designed to equip youth with skills for healthy living in the context of fun and adventure. We will be providing the program for children ages 6-12. Camp begins at 9am (drop off is 8:30-9:00am) and ends at 4pm (pickup time is 4:00 – 4:30 pm).
We have been fortunate enough to partner with the several community sites in Edmonton, who are allowing us to use their buildings as a “hub” for our CHANGE Adventure Camp. These partnerships will allow us to offer in-person camp activities with access to washrooms and an indoor space if the weather is not cooperating.

Safety & Staffing

All Change Adventure Summer Camp staff are chosen because they genuinely want to have a positive impact on the lives of our campers. They are individuals who are kind, caring, compassionate and exemplify the values of Change Health Alberta.

All of our staff undergo a thorough selection process including interviews, reference checks, and criminal reference checks. Our staff receive a thorough staff training including emergency procedures and how to ensure the safety of every camper. Most of our staff are postsecondary students and have experience in camping.

Each location will have at least one staff who is certified in standard first aid and CPR-C and will have a comprehensive first aid kit to manage any injuries that arise.
